What is Yoga With Endometriosis?

Yoga With Endometriosis is an online and in person space where you can find yoga poses and practices tailored to help with your endometriosis symptoms. As a yoga teacher with Endometriosis & possibly Adenomyosis, I have an intimate understanding of how you feel and how beneficial yoga can be, if it’s adapted to your body.

I think yoga often gets a bad reputation amongst the Endo community. Yoga can feel inaccessible, as if it’s only about being thin, fit and flexible. I think it’s also often offered as an alternative to proper medical care. I strongly believe that expert excision surgery is the best treatment for endometriosis, but let’s be real, you can be waiting years, even decades to access this. So what do you do in the meantime? Well, you manage the best you can.

Yoga With Endometriosis can to show you how yoga can help you manage, maybe even thrive, with endo.

This is a non-judgemental space for all genders and where we don’t judge other’s treatment and coping methods. You don’t need to be fit or flexible and you don’t need a diagnosis to join us. If you’re struggling with menstruation related symptoms (including bowel and bladder) then you’re in the right place.

It means a lot to me to share yoga with my students. I want everyone to understand that yoga can be exactly what they need, regardless of the situation. I strive to make my classes and offerings a supportive and caring space where everyone is welcome. Yoga encourages us to observe and learn about our bodies in a neutral way, without judgement and maybe with a little more kindness.

I know what it can be like to want to move your body despite, or because of, an injury or illness. I am continually trying to improve the accessibility of my classes. I currently have Endometriosis & Adenomyosis. In the past I have had chronic kidney bleeding, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and a knee operation.
